obituary discografia

Obituary es una banda de death metal, formada el año 1985, procedentes de Tampa, EEUU. La banda es uno de las grupos pioneras del estilo que se conoce como death metal, junto a Possessed, Death, Morbid Angel, etc.
En 1985 los hermanos John (voz) y Donald Tardy (batería), junto a Allen West (guitarra), Trevor Peres (guitarra) y Daniel Tucker (bajo) forman lo que sería Obituary. Bajo el nombre de Executioner. lanzan su primer demo, llamado, Metal Up Your Ass, en ese mismo año vuelven cambiar el nombre por Xecutioner y sacan varias demos entre 1985 y 1987. Finalmente, en 1987 cambian el nombre por Obituary, dos años después en 1989 sacan su primer disco, titulado Slowly We Rot, por la discográfica Roadrunner Records, que presentaba las características del death metal.
En 1990 lanzan Cause of Death, Fue el álbum que llevo a obituary a la fama en el death metal, disco catalogado como uno de los más importantes dentro del estilo. Dos años después sacan su tercer disco de estudio llamado, The End Complete, el cual es el disco más vendido por obituary, y también uno de los discos más vendidos en todo el ámbito del death metal. The End Complete ha vendido 103,378 copias por el mundo entero. Unos años después en 1994 lanzaron su cuarto disco llamado, World Demise en donde saldría su primer EP, Don't Care.

En 1997 salió a la venta Back From the Dead, después de que este disco fuera lanzado, los miembros de la banda se separaron, dando fin a Obituary por un largo tiempo.
El grupo se separó debido a proyectos personales de los miembros, Allen West se une con Chris Barnes y crean Six Feet Under, banda que ha tenido gran popularidad mundial tras su primer disco Haunted. John estuvo trabajando por un corto periodo en una empresa computacional por el año 2002, un tiempo después Los miembros se volvieron a reunir y el 2005 sacaron su Sexto album titulado, Frozen in Time.

Fue en el 2003 cuando obituary se reunió, volviendo a la senda del death metal dos años más tarde, en el 2005 sacan a la venta, Frozen in Time un álbum muy pesado y agresivo, también su primer disco en 8 años fuera de carrera. el año 2007 Obituary firmó a una nueva discográfica, Candelight Records y lanzaron su nuevo trabajo, Xecutioners Return.
El día 16 de septiembre salió a la vente su nuevo EP, titulado Left to Die.
El nuevo disco de Obituary fue lanzado al mercado a mediados de 2009, teniendo gran aceptación del público. Ahora la banda se prepara para la gira de promoción del disco

Destruction es una banda de thrash metal proveniente de Lörrach, al sur de Alemania, formada por Marcel Schmier, en bajo y voz, Mike Sifringer, en guitarra y Thomas Sandmann, en la batería. La banda es considerada como uno de los Cuatro grandes del Thrash metal alemán junto con Sodom, Kreator y Tankard. La banda originalmente llamada "Knight of Demon", cambia su nombre en 1984.
Durante la década de Años 1990, Destruction no firmó con importantes sellos discográficos y se vio obligado a auto-producir sus álbumes, hasta que firmó un contrato con Nuclear Blast en el 2000.

Destruction se formó como "Knigth of Demon" en Lörrach, Alemania en 1982. En la línea original destacó el vocalista y bajista Marcel "Schmier" Schirmer, el baterista Tommy Sandmann, y el guitarrista Mike Sifinger. Pronto se cambió su nombre por el de "Destruction" y dio a conocer un demo titulado "Bestial Invasion Of Hell" en 1984. Después de esto el grupo firmó con Steamhammer Records y reveló un EP titulado Sentence Of Death más tarde ese año.
El primer álbum de larga duración de Destruction es Infernal Overkill en 1985, seguida de Eternal Devastation en 1986, el Release From Agony en 1988, Cracked Brain en 1990. En 1989, Marcel Schirmer decide retirarse de la banda debido a diferencias creativas y el grupo se sometió a un período de deterioro comercial. Durante la explosión grunge durante la primera mitad de la década de 1990, la banda perdió su sello discográfico de apoyo y tuvo que volver a producir sus propios álbumes.
